I Got Skills brings joy to soccer as we teach our players to unleash their creativity and give them the confidence to play to their full potential. We offer a fun but structured environment that makes the players want to keep playing, learning, and developing all day long.
Camp will improve the skills of all players from Beginner to Elite. Beginning players will work on fundamentals and Ball Mastery, while Elite players will be brought to a whole new level with advanced skills training.
Moves – The single most important ability in soccer is the ability to get past an opponent, not through passing, but straight up taking another player on. We give our players the tools they need to deceive opponents and get past defenders.
Dribbling – Making sure each player is pushed to improve the technique and speed, we work on their Footwork and Ball Mastery. Exercises utilize all parts of the foot including laces, inside, outside, toes, heel and sole.
Passing – The fastest way to move up the pitch is through passing because nothing moves faster than the ball. Players will work on short and long passing and receiving and their understanding of how to see the and execute the best possible pass under pressure.
Juggling – Player must be able to control the ball in all circumstances including air balls. Not only is juggling fun, it also teaches the ability to control air balls.
Shooting – Without shots the will be no goals. Players will work on various shots including Driven balls, bending balls, Chips, and Bicycle Kicks.
I played soccer before football, and I was good. That’s where I get my quick feet — my feet are unbelievable. When I got to high school [Miami Beach High], I had to choose between the sports because they were in the same season. I chose football because I saw more opportunity, but it broke my heart. I still follow soccer; I watched every minute I could of the World Cup. I like to think I play football like Ronaldinho, with the trick moves and the anticipation. When he plays soccer, he looks completely different from everybody else. I try to do that too.
